Managing Menus
Dynamic Menuing is a way to create flyout menus automatically, based on your content pages. When you add or modify your pages, the menuing changes accordingly. The options for dynamic menus are saved in the "Dynamic Menus" content, on the Administration menu.
Dynamic menus are created by adding the "Dynamic Menu" icon to your page or page template from the editor's "Tag" menu. Once dropped on the page, double click on the icon to select which menu should be displayed, or to create a new menu.
When creating a new menu, use Internet Explorer to double click on the Dynamic Menu icon and enter a name in the MenuName field. Hit OK to close the property box, and save the page. When you save the page, a new dynamic Menu entry will be created in the Dynamic Menus content.
To edit the options for a Dynamic Menu, turn on the public site "Edit" icons from your Toolbar (visible when you are logged in), and view the page containing the menu. An edit icon will appear. Click this icon to edit the Dynamic Menu options.
The Dynamic Menu options include the flyout direction, Open-on-click, as well as the "Menu Style Prefix" and a selection of site sections you may want to include in the menu. The Menu Style Prefix (ccFlyout by default) is the prefix for the six styles needed in your style sheet to make the menus operate, and control their colors and appearance. If you change the Style Prefix to "Top" for example, the first time the menu is displayed on the public site, a complete set of default styles will be created in your Dynamic Styles for this prefix.
To add or remove a site section from a dynamic menu, use the "Sections" tab on the dynamic menu options. You can also use the "Menuing" tab when editing a section in "Site Sections".
To modify the appearance of a dynamic menu, go to the Dynamic Stylesheet editor, under Admin Tools on the Administration menu of the admin site. There are six styles that effect the appearance of the menu. For this list, the "Menu Style Prefix" is "prefix":
A.prefixButton - controls the appearance of the main click-able link, one for each section
A.prefixButtonDown - for the prefixButton when you are hovering over a flyout menu created from this button
.prefixPanel - for the overall panel created when a flyout menu is opened
A.prefixPanelButton - for the buttons on the flyout menu
A.prefixPanelButtonDown - for the button when it has created another flyout menu
.preifxDelimiter - for the delimiter character between prefixButtons
