Control Panel - Authoring Links
Overview
The typical Contensive user will only choose to edit in Authoring Links mode if he needs additional functionality that Presentation Authoring does not provide, or if he wishes to edit something other than page content. Examples of types of content other than page content include:
Member records
Catalog items
Banner images
Forums
Languages
Surveys
Meetings
Organizations
Note that the Authoring Links mode is also the one to use if you wish to add or edit text in HTML.
To initiate the Authoring Links mode, go to the page in your website that you want to edit, and then click on the Authoring Links box in your Tools Panel. Click on “Apply”. You are now in Authoring Links mode and you will see that your web page now has the addition of several green editing tags
Edit
Add
Cut
Paste
If you click on either an EDIT tag or an ADD tag, you will generate a page that lets you fully edit/create content. For details on how to add or edit page content, please see the section of this manual entitled Adding Pages / Creating Child Pages
