How to Set the Sort Order for Pages

When creating lists of pages, in either in-line, or orphan lists, you control how the pages are sorted through the parent page.

1) Log in to your site and turn on Link Authoring using the control panel at the bottom of the page.

2) Locate the page on your site which displays the list of child pages that you wish to sort. For instance, if you have a page called Board of Directors, and five sub-pages, each with one of your board members, go to the Board of Directors page. In this example, the "Board of Directors page is the "Parent Page", and each of the board members is on a "Child Page"

3) Edit the Parent page by clicking the edit icon in the upper left corner of the parent page. On the edit page, locate the option with the caption "Child List Sort Method". Select one of the available options.

If the sort method you prefer is not listed in the Child List Sort method list, have your system developer add a new entry to the "Sort Methods" content for your preference.
